Vintage Jvc 8008 Space Age Transistor Radio Mod Pop ArtDescription rare original vintage space age mod balancing jvc model 8008 transistor radio. Two ballsone with speaker, the other with dial and controlsare attached to a curved bar that balances on cone shaped stand. Made of bright yellow hard plastic. It shows some pitting to the chrome dial and a few minor scuffs here and there, but is otherwise in great shape with no chips or cracks. Uses one 9 volt battery and tests in good working condition. Back of balls are marked 8008 / japan and manufactured by victor company fo japan, ltd. Most likely made in the 1960's or early 1970's. Measures approximately 9 1/2 long and 7 1/2 tall on base. A super item for a transistor radio collection, or would look great displayed as a piece of pop art in a mid century modern decorated home!
