Rare Wurlitzer Lyric Junior Cathedral Tube Radio Here's something special to add to your collection. This wurlitzer lyric junior cathedral radio is being offered in as found condition fresh from na estate. This was going to be a winter project, ubt we're moving to smaller quarters, so it just won't fit. The cabinet is in veyr good, sound condition with some finish loss on the top. The finish on hte front and sides is near perfect needing only a good cleaning. The grill cloth has a good size hole and a wear spot were someone must have picked it up from the grill as well as a stain(exact replacement cloth is available from a couple of reputable sources). The speaker is not damaged behind the cloth flaws. Two of the three bakelite knobs have their original lyric inserts. The third insert may be able to be molded from one of the other two. The chassis is dusty and complete with its full tube compliment of original rca globe tubes.
A newer power cord has been added to the original cloth covered cord. The radio was tested by bringing it up slowly on a variac and was found to need the filter caps replaced(has a hum that over powers any reception). The transformer is good nad all of the tubes tested good. Radio measurs 18 inches tall, 14 1/2 inches wide, and 10 1/4 inches deep and weighs 28 lbs.
