Rare 1928 Pilot Super Wasp Battery Tube Radio WcoilsThis radio si not available for international shipping. The shipping box is too large. I can only ship within the united states. I will not answer any questions regarding international shipping costs it's a bird. It's a plane. No, it's super wasp! More specifically, it's a rare 1928 pilot super wasp! This four tube, battery-powered kit radio boasts short wave and broadcast reception from 14 to 500 meters. This fine example i am selling has a sturdy wooden case i believe was custom-made(? ). It shows much wear and teardings, scratches, spots, etc, but the radio inside is beautiful and looks enar mint.
The brown metal front panel is nearly flawless, and the two secutcheon window dials look very nice. The four knobs haev no chips or cracks. The chassis is extremely clean, but i can't guarantee if the tubes are any good because i have no way to test them. You are buying this radio electronically as isi am making no claims about its working condition, only that it appears complete nad entirely original. It even has original pilot transformers.
As you can see in the pictures, this radio comes with one set of plug-in detector coils and one est of antenna coils. Also, take a loko at the original blue print that's still in very good condition. This is a stellar radio that would be an excellent addition to your antique radoi collection. Don't miss this great ubying opportunity! Important note regarding shipping my cost of $50 is for sending to the west coast (california, oregon, etc. ). If you live closer to michigan, the cost will be less than this. Shipping ot texas or new york, for example, would be closer to $30. Therefore, please wait for my invoice before sending payment. I ship my antique radios by fedex and will email a tracking number to the winning bidder.Signtaure confirmation will be required upon delivery. Payment must be received within 10 days of this auction's conclusion. The radio is very well-packed and should arrive safely to its new home. Thank you for looking at my auction, and good luck bidding! |
